Friends From Home

I have known Melissa for almost as long as I've lived in Squamish. We've been friends for just under 18 years.

Melissa and her family have been exchanging houses with Europeans for over a decade now. We've been trying to connect with them for the past few summers, but it has never worked out. Until now.

We met for lunch this afternoon in Bergerac. It seemed surreal and completely natural at the same time.

Our two hour lunch went by far too quickly. We said our good-byes. They were off to spend the weekend in the Dordogne Valley and we were headed back to our little piece of paradise in the Lot.

Seeing friends from home while in France. Love it.
