Christmas Is.

My family and I spent another wonderful Christmas surrounded by loved ones.  Although a bout of stomach flu running through the house forced us to change some of our plans, we had a wonderful time.

Here is a photo essay of my Christmas.

Christmas is...

...hosting a party at school for my kindergarten students, along with their younger siblings and parents.

Christmas is...

...my beloved vintage ornament collection.

Christmas is...

...nursing sick people back to health.

Christmas is...

...watching my 21 year old son make a snowman in the backyard just like he did in the old days.

Christmas is...

...SNOW!

Christmas is...

...having my annual Christmas flower arrangement created and hand-delivered by a former student.  (Thank you Sarah Jennings!)  And to see Molly up and at 'em on Christmas Eve.

Christmas is...

...trouncing the family with my mad skills at the game of Sorry.

Christmas is...

...wearing a cat scarf decades before one becomes a cat lady.

Christmas is...

...an unexpected gift of cherry red luggage from Santa.

Christmas is...

...the gift exchange aftermath.

Christmas is...

...pressing the children into service when the chef was felled by a googly stomach.

Christmas is...

...a forced march through the woods on Christmas afternoon.

Christmas is...

...napping with the cat.

Christmas is...

...waiting for the guests to arrive.

Christmas is...

...having one of my best friends willingly wear ridiculous purple booties so he doesn't scratch our floor.  (Sorry about the green eyes, Palmer.)

Christmas is...

...having the chef make a miraculous recovery in time to put an amazing feast on the table.

Christmas is...

...including everyone in the feast.

Christmas is...

...having pink hair so there is no need to wear the tissue paper crown from the Christmas cracker.

Christmas is...

...lighting the figgy pudding on fire.

Christmas is...

...being surrounded by family and friends and a dog.

Christmas is...

...falling asleep while watching the Downton Abbey Christmas special still wearing my crown!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

  3. Hi Nancy: Know I have not posted for a long time. But really enjoyed looking at your Christmas Photos. A real Mom - gets the flu and recovers very quickly and gets that meal on the table. Wonderful to see everyone having such a fun time - dog - cat too. I only cooked for Kevin and Mark this year, didn't know if I would know how but turned out O.K. (lots of turkey left - soup coming up. Hope we see each other one day soon. Maybe we could do a Mother/Daughter get together in the New Year. Best of everything and love from Keath and Irene XXX OOO to you and yours!!!!!
